Understand Account Portal Terminology
While navigating the Web site, you'll need to grasp the following terms and/or phrases to best understand the information displayed in the account portal.
- Account — Refers to the customer account number and description that the fuel wholesale company has assigned to a customers' particular line of credit and set of transactions. You can access more than one account in the account portal, but such accessibility depends on internal setup. If thinking you should be able to access multiple accounts, please inquire with the Web Master on the Contact Us page.
- Administrator (Account Portal) — Refers to users who can access administrative-level functions in the account portal, such as Add New Contacts. Initially, account portal administrators must be defined by the fuel wholesale company internally, but these administrators can add or assign Administrator security to a user on the Your Profile page.
- Customer — Refers to an organization or entity that purchases fuel from the fuel wholesale company. Customer personnel can be set up as account portal contacts.
- User — Refers to any customer contact set up to log into the account portal Web site. Account Portal Administrators can add users (and new administrators) on the Your Profile page in the account portal with the Add Contact button. Contact information updated or added via the account portal also updates the fuel providers' internal system.
